The Hultafors axe is small and useful for the outdoor life in forests and open land. The axe has been manufactured in blasted and clear-lacquered ironwork, which also makes it suitable for work in the garden. The axe is hand-forged and manufactured from Swedish axe steel according to tradition since 1697 and it takes many blows of a hammer to process the axe steel, which actually improves its density and makes the axe more durable. The clear hard zone can be sharpened without altering the strength of the cutting edge and the axe is supplied with a cutting edge protection included. The axe is not fully honed. The handle length is 38cm (15 inches) and the axe head weighs 600g and the total weight is approx 1kg
